Train In Wudang
Live and Train on Sacred Wudang Mountain
Accommodation
The Wudang Daoist Traditional Kungfu Academy is located next to YuZhenGong Temple in the HuangJiaGou area of Wudang Mountain. Living at the academy means immersing yourself fully in the training environment — you wake to the sound of temple bells, train surrounded by mountain scenery, and share meals with fellow students from around the world.
All tuition at WDTKA includes accommodation and three meals per day. We offer five types of rooms to suit different budgets and preferences.
Room Types
Single Room
The Single Room is the most popular choice among our students. It includes a comfortable bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, and nightstand. Each Single Room has a private bathroom with a Western-style toilet and hot shower, as well as an air conditioning unit that provides both heating and cooling. This is the best balance of comfort and value.

Double Room
Double Rooms are ideal for two students traveling together. They include two beds, a private bathroom with Western toilet, air conditioning, wardrobe, desk, and chair. Double Room pricing is per person and only available to students who are traveling together and wish to share a room.

Deluxe Room
The Deluxe Room offers more space and upgraded furnishings compared to the Single Room. It includes a private bathroom, air conditioning, and all standard amenities. This is a good choice for students who want additional comfort during their stay.

Ultra Luxury Room
The Ultra Luxury Room is our premium accommodation option. With generous space, high-quality furnishings, and a private bathroom, this room provides the most comfortable living experience available on Wudang Mountain. Ideal for students who value privacy and comfort after an intense day of training.

Common Areas
All students have access to the common room, which includes:
-
Free Wi-Fi — Stay connected with family and friends
-
Snooker room — Relax with tea and conversation
-
Library — Browse books on martial arts, Daoism, and Chinese culture
-
GuQin room — Learning GuQin or bamboo flute on rest days
-
Meditation Hall — A quiet space for personal practice
The common room is a gathering place where students from different countries share stories, practice languages, and build friendships that often last long after leaving Wudang.

Nutrition & Meals
Three meals per day are included in your tuition. Our meals are prepared fresh daily using locally grown ingredients purchased in Wudang — we change our dishes with the seasons to ensure variety and nutritional balance.
What to Expect
Lunch and dinner typically include four or five dishes served alongside soup/congee and rice:
-
One meat dish — most often beef, chicken, duck, pork, fish, mutton or sausage
-
One meat or egg dish — eggs combined with vegetables like tomatoes or chives
-
Two to three vegetable dishes — lotus root, patato, cabbage, tofu, celery, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, and more
Breakfast alternates between congee, noodles, Corn, sweet potato and steamed buns, with vegetable side dishes.
Vegetarian & Vegan Friendly
We have many vegetarian and vegan students training at the school throughout the year. Dishes are served separately, so you can choose only the vegetable and tofu options. The variety of our vegetarian dishes is more than enough to provide a nutritious and delicious diet. If you have specific dietary needs, please let us know when you register.

Training Grounds
Training takes place primarily outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting. The natural mountain environment — fresh air, open space, and the sound of temple bells — creates an ideal training atmosphere.
For rainy or cold days, we have indoor training facilities. There is also a dedicated Meditation Hall for evening practice.
How to Reserve Your Room
Rooms are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend:
-
Standard season: Register at least 2 month in advance
-
Summer season (June–August): Register at least 6 months in advance
Summer is our busiest period and rooms fill quickly. Early registration ensures you get your preferred room type.
To reserve your room, register for training or email us at wudang.wushu.info@gmail.com with your travel dates and preferred room type.
